Jarrad Wrigley 46th Toyota Star Maker

In January 2026, Queensland-born country musician Jarrad Wrigley became the 46th

Toyota Star Maker – Australia’s most prestigious country music competition.

Raised with a deep respect for the land, Jarrad developed an early connection to the

stories, sounds and spirit of rural Australia—an influence that continues to shape his

songwriting and unmistakable live shows.

Blending traditional country roots with contemporary production, Jarrad crafts songs that

celebrate Australian life with honesty, humour and heart. His music is grounded, relatable

and built for the stage—delivering toe-tappin’ tunes, knee-slappin’ energy and a country

experience that leaves audiences wanting more.

In 2022, Jarrad arrived in Tamworth, as a complete unknown, performing more than 20

shows in six days. That year saw him place third in the Toyota Busking Competition at

Tamworth and release his first two singles, while touring towns and cities nationwide.

A graduate of JMC Academy, he refined his craft through relentless live performance,

forming a band that played weekly throughout Queensland and New South Wales and

supporting Australian country icon James Blundell, the 1984 Star Maker winner.

By 2024, momentum had built and Jarrad and his band The Wrebels delivered an

impressive festival run, appearing at Tamworth Country Music Festival, Night in Nashville

(in Orange NSW), Toowoomba Farm Fest, Emerald AgGrow, Boon Lane Country Music

Festival, Gympie Muster and Wild As Country Festival.

Beyond the stage, Jarrad’s growing profile has earned him multiple endorsements and

sponsorships with leading brands including Thomas Cook Clothing, Wrangler Western and

Fenech Guitars. He also launched his own JW merchandise brand, partnering with

Thomas Cook to deliver premium products now worn by fans across Australia.

In 2025, national audiences came to know him on Farmer Wants A Wife, a defining

moment that expanded his fanbase and showcased his authenticity both on and off stage.

That same year, he was crowned Ekka Country Music Showdown Grand Champion,

further solidifying his place among Australia’s rising country stars.

Jarrad will continue to build a career driven by authenticity, hard work and a genuine love

for country music—firmly establishing himself as a powerful new force in the Australian

industry
